I have talked a little about random acts of kindness lately.
And below we are going to cover how to work on showing random acts of kindness today.
First, there was my post about How Random Acts of Kindness can Help You.
Where we went over how they not only help the other person but how they make you feel better as well.
Then, there was my post on 25 Ways to Show Random Acts of Kindness.
I gave you some examples of things you can try.
Some of them wouldn’t even cost you a dime.
Now hopefully, all this talk about it lead you to want to give it a try.
But, I understand that you still may not be convinced.
Not everyone is easily persuaded.
Some may feel that’s it’s weird to do this without a special occasion.
You may not be very spontaneous and think you need a particular reason to spread some joy around.
And maybe you’re worried about how a random person may react.
So, let’s go over some of those issues.
Hopefully, this can help you to work out of your comfort zone and inspire you to give it a try today.
There’s more to kindness than simply just being nice.
Being kind is selfless and you need to have compassion for others.
You must put yourself in their shoes and see things from their point of view.
Now, believe me, I know that we are all very busy.
Most of us have too much on our plate already and live a hectic life.
We have more than enough to worry about without adding the needs of yet another person.
It can be hard to look outside of ourselves.
But, that’s exactly what we need to do.
Random acts of kindness require you to jump out there and do just that.
It’s a selfless act that’s done for no other reason than to brighten someone else’s day.
Now there may be many reasons you are not showing random acts of kindness, being busy is just one of them.
There are a lot of people who are afraid to be vulnerable.
Maybe you are feeling insecure about putting yourself out there.
You need to have the self-confidence to just give to others freely.
And it takes courage to put yourself out there for no special reason.
After practicing random acts of kindness here and there you should overcome these feelings.
You may also be feeling as though you’re unworthy.
And you’re afraid that others will be suspicious of your gift.
If that’s the case, start out small.
There are many little ways that you can share some random acts of kindness.
And remember that it’s usually worth it.
Yeah, it’s risky to put yourself out there in such a way, but it usually ends up rewarding.
People are more than likely going to be grateful and happy to receive a surprise.
Some people feel like they can’t possibly spare anything for anyone else because they are so wrapped up in their own needs.
If you find yourself feeling this way, it will pass once you start to give.
Giving and Gaining
Remember that you will gain benefits from sharing random acts of kindness too.
If you haven’t read my post and you’re struggling with a lot of these feelings, I recommend you check it out.
They shouldn’t be done for your own benefit, but learning them may help you work past some of your feelings as well.
You can find it right here…How Random Acts of Kindness can Help You.
You’ll soon start to see that you are able to connect with others in a way you never have before.
Showing random acts of kindness take you out of your own little world for a while.
This can have a very powerful effect on not only your life but on the recipient as well.
Doing good deeds will also add positivity to the world around you.
It’s highly unlikely to have any negative effects.
Start by taking one small step at a time.
Push your limits and work your way outside of your comfort zone.
Give to someone else in the smallest way first.
Then, when you become comfortable with that, push it a little farther.
Become a little more daring every day.
You’ll build up your confidence with each positive result.
