First off, just let me say that I am so grateful to have been nominated for this award. I want to thank The Tinker Bug and Rollin with the Rollins for my nominations. I am truly honored to have been chosen by them. Don’t forget to stop by and check out their blogs!
Now, for those of you who may not know what it the Versatile Blogger Award is, let me explain a little.
What is the Versatile Blogger Award?
The Versatile Blogger Award is a little thing that has been going around the internet. I was nominated on social media. It may not have a whole lot of purpose, no big grand prize or anything. But, I know that it sure does mean a lot to those who are chosen. At least it does me anyway. It’s just a simple gesture to honor those bloggers who bring something special to your life. Whether that be every day or only every now and then.
This blog is still really new, and to be nominated for all these awards is truly amazing to me.
The rules are pretty simple and to the point.
- Thank the person who nominated you. This is a given! Include a link to their blog as well.
- Select 15 bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly and nominate them for the Versatile Blogger Award.
- Lastly, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.

7 Things About Myself
This isn’t my first blog.
I have another website called Going Places with Kendra. Over there I write about business and blogging tips. I wanted one where I could be more personal, so that’s where Hearts and Houseshoes came from.
Dream of making a living working from home.
This is something I have always wanted to do. Working from home has always been a dream of mine. My plans are that someday I will be able to make enough money from blogging and/or freelance work that my husband will not have to work.
I am a night owl.
I have always been the type to stay up all night and sleep all day. Everyone complains that I’m not awake enough during the daylight. I can’t help it, that’s just who I’ve always been.
It’s pretty funny actually. I have always hated wearing shoes and went barefoot. I mean, I literally never wore shoes when I was younger. And now, I have a whole collection of them. I think it may have began when they started the whole “no shirt-no shoes” policy. Which I still didn’t abide by for years.
I don’t have cable or satellite
I was tired of paying ridiculous prices for satellite and cable doesn’t service my area, so I chose to get rid of it. Now, granted I do have internet and use a Roku and Firestick. But, for the most part, we just use a regular old antenna to watch T.V. I do miss having it sometimes, but I sure don’t miss that bill.
I love summertime
Summertime is my favorite season. We love to go camping, or glamping as they say. I sure don’t do the tent thing. There is nothing like just getting away on the weekends and enjoying a nice campfire!
I have anxiety
I have dealt with anxiety for many years now. It used to be so bad that I couldn’t even go into a store. Didn’t shop for years! Not many women can say that. I have it more under control now, but it used to be really bad though. And it’s something that I have struggled and fought with it for a long time now.
So, there we have it. Now, you know me just a little bit better.
